Danielle

A percieved yuppie with a lack of music taste, one might find it hard to believe that both Andy and Danielle have anything in common. Heck, they didn’t even think they did at first! Yet her shared love for being completely ridiculous and outrageous, while willing to try anything and everything at least once, put her in good standing to catch Andy’s eye.

Danielle is a food, fashion, and work out enthusiast. When not perusing the Internet for said topics, she enjoys reading, writing, running, eating, and maintaining her blog. When not glued to a computer, you can probably find her in the kitchen. From cooking dinner for both herself and Andy daily, to making special treats to share, she’s always up for a good recipe. Cupcakes have a special place in Danielle’s heart (and stomach), and she’ll never, ever, pass one up.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Danielle moved to Westfield, New Jersey at the ripe old age of three. And yes, during the moving process she sat on the toilet thinking the cover was down, and subsequently fell-in. She’s never been the same around toilet. Despite the ridiculous NJ Transit fare, Danielle loves heading into the city to enjoy all it has to offer – delicious food, beautiful parks, interesting people, and she’ll almost always run into someone she graduated high school with.

While attending public school and participating in ballet and tap from ages two to twelve, she moved on to swimming which subsequently took over the next ten years of her life, swimming for both Westfield High School and The University of Scranton. A member of Scranton’s women’s swimming team and co-captain her senior year, the team won the first ever Landmark Conference championship. She’s even got a sweet championship ring to prove it! Danielle received her Bachelor’s degree in English from the University in the electric city in 2008 while perfecting her drinking and cold weather accessorizing. And let’s be honest, there ain’t no party like a Scranton party, cause a Scranton party don’t stop.

As a former “athlete,” after college Danielle decided to take up another difficult yet rewarding sport – running, completing her first road race in July of 2009. Since then, she’s run in a handful of 5k races and actually completed her first half marathon in April 2010, finishing in just over 2 hours. After graduation Danielle also got herself a big girl job as an “Application Specialist” at a software development company, SaaShr.com, where she and Andy met. You can read up on their story as a couple under the “About” section!
